I was just curious to see if anyone has done this successfully and if it's even worth trying.
On my new site I'm considering using a RocketTheme Joomla template with a corresponding phpbb RocketTheme template, but I have not seen anyone posting on moodle.org with success using phpbb. I find that rather odd.
Also I see that RocketTheme's own forums are now "powered by Kunena." Yet they have no Kunena RocketTheme templates. Or if they do, I haven't found them.
I'm very familiar with phpbb, but have never used Kunena in an admin capacity. In fact, my only exposure to it has been posting on this forum, which is quite beautiful. But when I went to the Kunena dev site, I thought their forums were extremely ugly! The Joomdle forums are a MUCH better selling point for Kunena than Kunena itself. It's all a bit bewildering.
I guess you folks recommend Kunena over phpbb?

Joomdle only supports Kunena for forum integration, and not phpbb.
We don't recommend anything, it's just that we see kunena being more used than phpbb on Joomla.

Thanks Antonio. Then I'm leaning away from RocketTheme now and towards JoomlArt's Purity III template and their T3 platform. It comes with full Kunena compatibility out of the box. And it's free.
