Recommended JoomdleSetup: HTTPS both on Joomla3.6 & Moodle3 was created by Sandeep
Hi everyone,
I am wondering if anyone is successful in getting Joomdle to work with commercial SSL certificate installed both on Joomla 3.6 and Moodle 3.1.
We are planning to have our Joomla 3.6 (server: Centos 7) and Moodle 3.1 (externally hosted with a Moodle partner) and both of them will have different host/domain names.
I am trying to test this with a self-signed certificate in a local host environment (MAMP) with HTTPS enforced on both Joomla and Moodle.
I was not able to get Joomdle work with HTTPS.
Do we need to use something like( joomlaurl.com and moodleurl.com ) on the configuration page?
Can anyone share some tips and your experience?
Regards,
Sandeep Kankatala

Joomdle is working on many sites with SSL without any problems. However, you may have problems making it work with self-signed certificates, as cURL and file_get_contents calls may see an invalid certificate and close the connection.

HI Antonio,
We were able to resolve this issue. Apparently it is an issue with our SSL certificate.
