Enter your joomdle configuration and select joomla user profile. Than map your fields through the mapping tab. That's all there is to it.

Hello Chis
thanks for your reply , joomla user profile means profile type (Use Profiles Types) right ? I select none type there now when I go to mapping tab it show the message "No additional data source selected in component configuration " ....
Two option available there jomsocial and XIPT ....I am not using jomsocial and I don't know about XIPT ...
my problem is that I manually add some field in moodle and now because of those fileds are mandatory I have to add same filed in joomla too and then joomla moodle mapping on those fields .. ...

Which versions of Joomla, Moodle and Joomdle are you using. If using the latest of all, you will have more than two options for user profile types.

I think you two are talking about 2 different things.
What Chris refers to is "additional data source", and not profile types.

Anyone can suggest any solution.?
Whe I go to the backend of the Moodle. Under plugin, I see the LDAP is not installed or does not exist. How can I go about it ?

Hi:
I am using Moodle 2.3, Joomla 2.5.6, Joodle 0.82.
My question is the same as above;
*) Moodle needs "Surname", "City" and "Country" as REQUIRED
*) I need a way to map Joomla user profile fields to these Moodle fields.
*) Even after configuration of Joomdle, I am unable to select anything other than "Jomsocial" and "XIPT" under Joomdle's "User Profile Types"
Please suggest if I am missing anything, as my reading of your response implies that I should be seeing more options than these two? Thanks

There is a difference between Profile Types and user profiles.
Profile Types you will only get Jomsocial and XIPT - this is like categories allowing you to specify different field sets for different profiles types. eg. Teachers vs Students vs Parents.
User Profiles (Additional Data Source) you will give VM 2, Hikashop, Joomla 1.6+, CB and allows you to syncronise the data based on your data mapping.
For the mapping of data you want the configure the Additional Data Source.
