Moodle Master - Joomla Slave was created by kennibc
Hello Joomdle Users,
I am wondering how I might be able to use Joomdle with Moodle as the master and Joomla as the slave.
We use LDAP for logins in Moodle and want to keep things that way. We also don't want to damage or change the login accounts. It would be nice if Joomla would just read the login from Moodle and allow entry without forcing Joomla/Joomdle/Moodle accounts. \

Is this possible?

I reposted this in the proper .09 support forum. Sorry for adding it here. I cannot delete this post.

Hi. I think it is better to have the question here ( as it is quite version-independent), so I will delete the one in R09 support.

I don't think you can get what you want out of the box, without changes: you cannot use LDAP auth method and Joomdle auth method at the same time in Moodle.

I know that it can be done the other way:
- Have Joomla use LDAP for logins
- Have Joomdle perform SSO

With this setup, a user can go to Moodle and enter credentials there. The system will connect to Joomla to check password. As Joomla is LDAP-configured, it will connect to LDAP server to check credentials.
