Let's try to see if we are on the same page:
- Are you creating users form Joomla backend or from Moodle?
- Are usernames normal english chars only? For example, username: test, name: محمد

I test each 2 way and look results :
1-in Moodle side: i can create user with the Persian username and Persian firstname and Persian surname and any other.
2-in Joomla side (not difference between back-end and front end):
a) i can use English username and not important use persian or english char for name or surname.if i use EN username i can use english or persian char in name.
b)but if i use Persian char in username (repeat:Name char not important in this case) the username is save in joomla "user management " backend-menu, and i can see correct persian username. but in Moodle, 2 problem occur: First problem: username is incorrect (it is ????) and the Second problem: is occur when i use persian char in username then it's show blank row in Site administration>Users>Accounts>Browse list of users, in other word the user has not any name and surname and email.
Important tip: before i change the 3 file according your guide(when i use original joomdle 1.0.
in this case all thing is OK.Antonio Durán wrote: Hi saman.

I tested in my local installation, and could not replicate the problem: groups are created correctly in Joomla after creating course in Moodle.
Which PHP version are you using?
