Hi,

I have updated joomdlehooks.php and it works perfectly - I tested it on IE 8 , Firefox and Opera

I have included the link to the video as it maybe useful for those who want multiple menu systems for Joomla and Moodle:

www.netmarketinginstitute.com/adminvideo...menuintegration.html

thanks for all your time,

Garrett

Thanks very much for all the testing and taking the time to make the video.
I think it really can help others achive their goals, as well as shows perfectly how "close" you can make Joomla and Moodle behave, using Joomdle, templates and the proper menus.

In fact, I was thinking that we should make some videos to show Joomdle in action. That is, Chris should do them, as no one wants to hear me speaking english on a video ;)

Do you think we could include yours when we start? I guess we will open a youtube account, so we don't need to host them.

Thanks again,
Antonio

Absolutely - I am happy to share the videos on youtube ( I would actually prefer not have them on my server so youtube would be perfect) Please let me know what you want me do to.

Great :)

I am not that much into how youtube works, so I will look to find out which is the best option, and tell you what I think, although maybe it is ok to just let the users like you upload their videos to their own accounts, and tag them and link them on joomdle.com.
What are your thoughts on this?

I think it would be better to have all the videos on one youtube account

- easier for users to find
- better advertisment for Joomdle

Personally I am not looking for any recognition - I am happy to give you the video if you have an ftp dump (My videos are usually between 15 - 25 mb)and then you can upload it to youtube at your leisure - I have a youtube account and it only took me 10 minutes to setup. I would do it for you but its better for one person to control access.

also if you want me to make more videos I will - you guys have been excellent and I am happy to do what I can including testing should it be required,

cheers, Garrett

Thanks for your comments.

As you say, I was thinking more about recognition and ease of doing things, more than the technical side. I have set up some youtube accounts, but not for "collaborative uploading".

I am with you in that is better to have all videos toguether, although this have these cons:
- No recognition. You may not mind, but others may.
- More difficult to do use: as you say you need to send me file by FTP so I upload it to joomdle's youtube account.

That is why I was thinking of a "mixed" approach, where everybody can upload their videos to their own accounts, but have them grouped toguether somehow (Channel, Tags, however is usually done).

Anyway, I will take a look before deciding what to do.

Thanks very much for your offer on making more videos. I am sure that when Chris comes back from holidyas he will have some ideas to share :)

Hi again.

After taking a brief look, I decided to take your advice and go with the "joomdle" account. We can change later if we want.

So, to upload the new video, the easiest way would be that I send you the account credentials via private message, and you upload it directly, instead of having to use FTP to me and then I uploading it.
If you prefer the FTP way, just tell me and I will set it up.
