Upgrade to RO.26 for full MOODLE calendar integrat was created by Steve Neufeld
Hi!
I have the same problem as reported earlier about the colour and mouseover links in the MOODLE calendar not appearing in JOOMLA (see attached DOC with screenshots). I'm glad you were able to find the bug and a solution to the problem. I've upgraded to RO.25a but I understand that the calendar bug fix will only be available in the next release of RO.26.
I'm using JOOMLA-MOODLE for a school setting, and the start of the academic year is fast approaching. Do you know when RO.26 will be ready for release? If it will be a while, is it possible to include the calendar bug fix in a RO.25b update?
Wonderful plugin! Many thanks for all the work on it so far.

Hi.
I saw the doc, and I am not sure if the changes will fix all your problems, but it would be great if you could test and report back.
I attach calendar module with all the changes. Just unistall the old module alone (not joomdle component) and install new version.
Thanks for testing!

Brilliant. Haven't tested it rigorously, but only with two different users. Works perfectly. Haven't tried multiple events on a single day in terms of the mouseover, but the events colouring works and the hyperlinks integrate seamlessly with the logged in user to their MOODLE calendar. See attached screen shots.
Thanks for your super quick work on this! Just going to show this to the school admin this morning, so the timing couldn't have been better.
Muchos gracias!

Thanks for testing.
Please let us know if you find any issues with the calendar or other Joomdle module, or if you have any suggestions for making Joomdle better.
De nada!

Hi!
Everything is working well, but there is one thing missing from the calendar in JOOMDLE. MOODLE calendars have four categories of events: GLOBAL, COURSE, GROUP and USER. The JOOMDLE calendar module seems to pick up only events from GLOBAL, COURSE and USER -- GROUP events do not appear.
Not a serious bug -- quite functional without it, but it would be good to have it work with GROUPS in the long run. Many MOODLErs probably don't use groups, so that might be why it hasn't occurred before.
Thanks!

Hi Friends,
I also upgrade joomdle 0.25. There is something wrong with calendar module. When I click on a day link it goes to correct moodle calendar page. But, When I navigate between months and then click on another day, it goes wrong date page on moodle calendar. Can you help me to find what is wrong with the settings or is there some missing calculation in mod_joomdle_calendar. I have been looking codes of tmpl/default.php but everything seems ok.
Thanks.

Hi!
It works fine for me. I upgraded to JOOMDLE 0.25b but I also uninstalled the mod_calendar and upgraded it with the mod_calendar 'patch' that is provided as an attachment in this discussion thread (pending the full release of 0.26 when this mod_calendar will be included.)
The only issue I have come across is that GROUP events don't appear in the JOOMDLE calendar view.

yes, You are right. I found the problem. I am using lightbox effect when opening moodle in joomla. Lightbox have some issue with links. Calendar modules works fine when it is opened in wrapper or newpage. I will find another solution for lightbox. By the way, where are you from and which school are you working for? I am from Turkey and our school is a combined school based in Ankara, Turkey. We may share our education outcomes when using moodle and joomla.

Hi!
Thanks for that -- I am fairly new to JOOMLA. I don't use LIGHTBOX. Most of my work has been with MOODLE and general Web2.0 tools.
I am part of a research group called Lexitronics ( lexitronics.org ) and work with a colleague at Osman Gazi University in providing services to set up educational platforms for schools--primarily WORDPRESS and MOODLE. However, JOOMDLE provides a nice integration with a CMS, so we are adding that to our 'package'. Mostly we provide teacher training and support for blending technology in teaching. I work part-time in the ELT department at METU (Northern Cyprus Campus) - my blog there is blog.metu.edu.tr/steve . Currently our Lexitronics group is working with TED on a multisite WORDPRESS blog sever, and the Englsh School of Kyrenia on a JOOMLA/MOODLE integration for an online school community support system.
My primary research interest is in lexis and vocabulary development, especially using a corpus-informed approach. I am really interested in the notion of an 'i-corpus' as well as developing a lexical syllabus for a CLIL approoach. Regarding CLIL, here is an article our Lexitronics group just published to give you an idea of what we're up to: www.icrj.eu/13-71
I also work with Tom Cobb of Lextutor - our vocabulary profiler is hosted on lextutor at lextutor.ca/vp/bnl ... the rationale for this word list is available in the shape of an article we published in ESP Journal--if you're interested in this area I'd be happy to collaborate.
Are you a teacher or do you work freelance? Perhaps we can liase on some projects in Turkey and/or North Cyprus.

Thank you all for the comments and the suggestions.
Group events will be included in calendar for next release. I cannot give you the module like last time, because it also requires modification on Joomdle's moodle side.
