Hello, I am having the same issue as the user in this thread: www.joomdle.com/en/forum/17-r024-support...ed-in-to-joomla#2557

After setting up Joomdle successfully (local environment), when I create a new user in Joomla/ and then login on Joomla, I am still challenged with a password when I go to Moodle.

I have done all the prerequisite steps. XMLRPC is enabled and working fine.

Hi.

Some cheks:
- is joomdle system check page showing everything in green?
- if so, are users auto-created in moodle when you create them in joomla?

OK, the system check is showing a problem with Joomdle Web Services : "Joomla URL seems to be misconfigured in Joomdle auth plugin in Moodle"

I have checked and rechecked to make sure that my urls are correct, using http:// notation, using http://127.0.0.1 instead of "localhost". I've made sure all the prerequisites are handled.

I've also ensured that xml-rpc is enabled and showing up on the phpinfo

I guess it should work with 127.0.0.1 but I have never really tested.

Can you do it with localhost?

Changed it to localhost on both Moodle and Joomla. Same issue.

The only thing is I am continually registering new users. Because I haven't got a local SMTP server set up, I have been going into the admin console and manually enabling the test users, then logging out, and then logging into the joomla site with the test id. Could it be that the verification email is neccessary for the moodle provisioning to happen?

No, the problem here is that you have an error in the system check.
I don't know why you are getting that....

Try opening "whatever you have in joomdle's plugin config as joomla url"/xmlrpc/index.php

It seems what happens is that modole is not able to connect with joomla.

Hi Antonio,

I am not able to tell what you mean. Do you want me to open a particular file? If so, what should I do? The path you wrote didn't come through clearly. Can you tell me exactly which file to open and what I should be looking for?

Thanks

Ok, first write here what you have in both moodle and joomla sides as each other URLs.

Ugh. I found the problem. Thanks.

Joomla was configured correctly, however, on Moodle my Joomla URL was set to http://localhost When I changed from 127.0.0.1 to "localhost" I lost the "/joomla" path that - I guess - needed to be there. Working good now.

Thanks!
