[SOLVED] Strange problem - Plugin joomdlehooks #1
Hi all.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

First of all some information on the systems in use.
Database Version: 5.1.46-community
PHP Version: 5.3.2
Web Server: ApacheSSL/2.2.15 (win) PHP/5.3.2 mod_ssl/2.2.15 OpenSSL/0.9.8n proxy_html/3.1.2
Joomla!: Joomla! 1.5.18 Stable

I had version 0.25 of JOOMDLE.
I uninstalled everything (from Joomla and Moodle), deleted all tables JOOMDLE in my db and uploaded the new version 0.3.

No problems installing the component (with modules and plugins) in Joomla.
No problem creating folders in Moodle.
A problem with plugin XMAP. It gave me a problem during installation in Joomla (template http error 500). However, after refresh of the screen I could to return to the main page of installation successfully. In fact, the plugin was installed.

All the check system was ok (green). The Moodle page notifications no reported any problems. If I select a course from joomla I was connected to the platform moodle smoothly. But ... Every time I tried to update a user in JOOMLA a white screen appears with writing XML-RPC Error (7015): Unable to locate function, or function for RPC Prohibited. If I refresh the screen, however, the system updates the user.

Other problem. When I tried to enter the restricted area of the site, the system responds with a blank screen that says "Invalid token"

I read all the forums, I tried with google search, I read all documentation but nothing. At the end I try my self. I realized (!!) that the problem was the plugin "plg_joomdlehooks" because if I disable the plugins, the update of a user was successfull without errors and access to the private site gave no problems.

I uninstall and reinstall everything again. The 7015 issue is gone now but the problem is that every time you update a registry, the system update the registry of the user but responds: Username and password do not match or you do not have an account yet.

Any ideas?

Hi.

When you say "update the registry", do you mean going with the user to the Edit details page?
I did that in my local installation, and had no problems.

You say in the other thread you enabled HTTPS. I would disable and then test Joomdle, to see if the problem is related.

Hi Antonio. Sorry for my English.....

I mean, every time:
- A user updates his profile
- An administrator updates a user's profile

I'll try to disable HTTPS and test JOOMDLE to see if the problem is related.

Meanwhile, has never had XMAP installing the plugin gives an error http 500? For completeness, the transition from 0.25 to 0.3 was made before moving on to https and the error (http 500) was also given them. Unfortunately I have not tested all the features JOOMDLE before moving on to https....

I repeat: I'll try to disable HTTPS and test JOOMDLE to see if the problem is related. I'll update the forum as soon as possible

Are you installing xmap plugin through XMAP plugin installer?

Sorry Antonio, but I did not understand the question.

I downloaded JOOMDLE version 0.3 (file joomdle-0.3.zip) from www.joomdle.com k.

The file joomdle-0.3.zip inside is composed of:
- Moodle folder
- Joomdle-joomla-package.zip (the basic component + plugings + modules)
- 3 separated plugins including xmap-joomdle-plugin.zip

After installing moodle folder, I installed in joomla (administrator>extensions>istall/unistall) first the package (Joomdle-joomla-package.zip) and then the plugins xMAP (xmap-joomdle-plugin.zip).

I was wrong?'

Maybe it is not clear in the docs.

To install xmap plugin, you need to install first xmap component, and then install joomdle xmap plugin trough xmap's own plugin installer.

Antonio, please be patient.

Can you help me with operating instructions?

What do you mean with "you need to install first xMAP component"?

I have to find a component XMAP for Joomla? If so, can you suggest me a component? May be that all problems arise from this

Joomdle xmap plugin is a plugin for the Xmap extension:
extensions.joomla.org/extensions/structu...gation/site-map/3066 k

If you are not using XMap, you don't need to install the xmap joomdle plugin at all.

Here we are.

First off all, sorry for the problem of xmap. I did not understand anything ..

What I have done:
- unistalled Joomdle > ok
- cleared cache on Joomla > ok
- Checked db > ok
- unistalled apache on https > ok
- istalled apache on http > ok
- tested joomla on http:
- try to modify and save user > all ok
- installed Joomdle again (whitout xmap. only package)
- checked system > all ok
- try to modify and save user > error "Username and password do not match or do not have an account" but change have been made.

Any idea?

PS: I do not know if it helps. I use the method file_get. If I imposed cURL system check puts a red X on web service and says "Moodle has returned an answer with no data"
