Check your installed user plugins in Joomla.
Disable all non-core ones, and test again, to see if there is some incompatibility.

Really weird.
I would place some debug (ie: an exit() call) in the joomdlehooks plugin, on the logging function, to see if it is being executed at all.

hi
i am still having problems with this, i have set up a brand new Joomla install with a brand new moodle install, not added anything to either apart from the joomdle and it still won't auto enrol in moodle
Again it will if you manually sync the two
i am a very new to php i had a look and have no idea how to create the an exit() call.
if you want you can have the logins for the new installs. I am getting really frustrated with this as i have a client waiting and everything is working apart from this small detail.
edit
what i have also just noticed is that the joomla super user did sync automatically it is just new registered users that arn't syncing automatically
