Offer a free course was created by Jason E
I am looking for a way to offer one free course to a new user when they sign up. I don't have virtuemart, just moodle with paypal and manual. I can set up self enrollment, but I haven't found a way to present that enroll me button on the joomla side.
Any suggestions?
Thanks.

Not sure what your problem is: the button does not show up on course details page?

If I make a menu item in Joomla that is Menu Item Type Joomdle - Course Details. No. What I get is a list of the course activities.
But I can't access them if not enrolled in the course.
I can make a link to buy with paypal this way with Menu Item Type Joomdle - Buy Course through paypal. But there isn't an option like this to self enroll.

Course details should show teh details/buttons, not the activities. Re-check you selected the right one.
To have self-enrol, you have detail page, with Enrol button.

Sorry, It's been a while but I need to revisit this.
I can navigate to the course details page by going directly to moodle and I can see the enrol button there.
I want to display this button in joomla, or to at least achieve the same effect the way that the joomdle enrol with paypal menu item works.
The course details page from joomdle shows only a paypal button.
Is there some way to display this enrol button in Joomla?
This moodle page looks like it might be talking about something similar.
