HI
Thank you Easy Profile worked perfectly, all I needed to do is create a new user group I then setup Easy Profile to force a user to update their profile on login.
Next I set the Hikashop product to add the user to a specific group based on the purchases made.
This allows me to register users with the standard hikahop registration page and once a purchase is made it takes the user to the profile to add all the additional data.
I have one problem though that I still need some help on, Hikashop only adds the user to the new group once the order is marked as "Confirmed"
We however want to have students register, update there details but not make payment until we have verified that all the information they sent is correct.
Problem is if I change the status to confirmed Joomdle enrolls the student in the course, I know I can create other categories in Hikashop eg "Payment Received" but is there a way I can tell Joomdle to use some thing other than "Confirmed"
Thanks

No, not without hacking Joomdle and/or Hiakshop. The status of confirmed is what calls the plugins - this is actually a Hikshop process. Hikashop will run all plugins (not just joomdle) based on the confirmed status. If today, Hikashop already allows plugins to be called on other status changes, then it might be a simple hack but something you would need to maintain yourself.
I can't help think about your process however. I cannot imagine a potential student (customer) being too happy about going to the shop, registering, waiting for you to confirm and then going back to the shop to complete a purchase. In fact, I would think you would get more dropouts then you want and to be honest this sounds a little convoluted for the customer. Why not just allow them to purchase capture all the details but send out a thank you email, thanking them for the purchase and their student account is being created and that a confirmation email will be set up once everything is validated. At least you get the money in the door rather than giving them an opportunity to disappear and perhaps not come back ... my thoughts anyway

Hi
Thank you for all the help.
You have a good point, it is actually better to have them complete the process and make payment, if we then validate their information and find mistakes or false information we can then ask them to correct it or worst case re-fund them.
