Hikashop Integration Issues #1
Hello Antonio,
I have several issues

Version Info:
Joomla: 3.9.3
Moodle:Current
Joomdle:Current

Q1. When I am on the Joomla site, and I select a course (viewing through Hikashop) I am sent to the login in page, and unable to see the details setup in Hikashop for the Joomdle integrated item. Usually I am able to select a hikashop product, and view product details, and I am not prompted to login first. There is important information and details that a user should see before being prompted to login.
Q - How do I turn this login requirement off?
The other products currently on the site do not initiate the login requirement -- thus, I must assume it is Joomdle

Q2.
I am finding the process for the Hikashop integration quite difficult.
Scenario
1. I want users to purchase the course on the Joomla site.
2. The moodle course details are viewable on the Joomla site (after login).
3. I have added Groups to the joomdle integrated product's characteristics in Hikashop ( the groups were initially created in the moodle site for the course groups)
4. After login, when I select a group and purchase the item, I am not added to the group (within moodle site).
5. Additionally, when I view group details within Moodle - there is no identification number for a course group.
Where am I going wrong here?
Please view attached snaps:

Q3. I have installed the Joomdle Enrollment Plugin - When I go to the enrollment options, the Joomdle enrollment option is not available.

Thank you for your assistance.

Hi.

Q1. I don't know what you mean, I've never seen that behaviour.
I can see products as a guest, and I am only redirected to login before checkout.

Can you describe your exact steps, or make a video?

Q2.
> After login, when I select a group and purchase the item, I am not added to the group

Did you install and enable the Joomdle Hikashop plugin as described here? www.joomdle.com/wiki/Hikashop_Groups k
And created the product characteristics as instructed there?

> 5. Additionally, when I view group details within Moodle - there is no identification number for a course group.
The ID you need is database ID: the one that appears in the URL when editing a group in Moodle.

Q3. Did you enable the enrolment method in Moodle?
Anyway: this plugin is only really used for showing shop info to students if they try to access a course without purchasing it first.

Please let us know if you need any more info.

Morning Antonio,
Here is a video of the login requirement.
Scene 1: first I go to Joomdle course and click to view details - prompted to login
Scene 2: I go to a regular hikashop item (under heading books), I am able to view detail, I go down to the related Joomdle product and select it, and I am prompted to login.

Video Link k

Thanks for you help,
Wrina

That's weird. I just tested locally with latest Hikashop, and I can see the product page as a guest, and choose options.

There's nothing in Joomdle that could make that, so I have no idea what the problem might be. Only thing that comes to mind is that you could have a menu item with that alias, and it is set to registered...

Try creating a new Joomdle product and test with it, to see if problem persists.
Also, create a non joomdle product with optons, to see if happens too.

Hello Antonio,
Figured out the login requirement -- TY.

Still an issue with Groups
I have attached several snap-shots.
I have uploaded the Joomdle Hikashop Groups plugin and it is active.
I have viewed the moodle dbase and entered the id: GroupName in Hika-charateristics.
I have purchased a product based on the selection of a group (Group 104).
I have logged in to moodle with admin account and still the user is not added to the group.

Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Wrina

Can you give some info? It would be nice to know what was happening, in case it happens to other user.

Have you checked that the Joomdle Hikashop Groups is installed and enabled?

RE: > Figured out the login requirement -- TY.
I had several menus to separate the Joomdle/moodle course types for Joomla
I hid the main menu which had all the courses with an access group above "Registered"
The other menus were set to public.

The main menu which Joomdle is attached to over-rides all menus -- so, if the menu that allows viewing of the moodle courses is set to registered or above, all the items will require login or access group permission regardless of the setting of various menus that pull the joomdle products. ( hope that is clear?)

RE: Have you checked that the Joomdle Hikashop Groups is installed and enabled?
Yes, see attached - Still cant get it to work

Thank very much for the info about the menus.

Check that you don't have enabled the normal Joomdle Hikashop plugin, as they might conflict.
Then test purchase again with a student that is not yet in the coure in Moodle.

Hello Antonio,
Still having problems.
When I view enrollment options Joomdle is not listed.
I am wondering if this is why the hikashop integration is not working
See attached image.

I have uploaded and cannot detect: enrol_signup_moodle33_2011111507.zip

Thanks

I don't know why enrol method is not shown, but I am sure it is not related to enrolment problems.

Joomdle does not use the Joomdle enrol method for enrolments, so it does not matter, even if it is not installed at all.

If you still have problems, we can try taking a look at your site. You would need to send access info by email, and instructions on how to check the problem.
