Error-mania! Need Urgent Help with These Errors and Problems #1
I am using Joomla 1.7.3 and Moodle 2.0 with Joomdle 0.6-for-joomla16-alpha8 on XAMPP 1.7.7 VC9 (Apache 2.2.21, PHP 5.3.8 and MySQL 5.5 with MySQLi Database on LocalHost.)
I have also enabled cURL, Openssl and intl in my PHP.ini file.

For Example, Let my Localhost site url which is also Joomla url be- " http://www.mysite.com/ k"
Moodle Url-: " http://www.mysite.com/moodle k"

I created "administrator" account on Joomla and "madmin" account on Moodle.
Then for Joomdle, I created account named "jconnect" on Moodle.

(I was experiencing some problems with Web services during system_health_check in Joomla in my previous Installations. So this time, I gave "jconnect" full administrator privileges and skipped the role creation step. I made Joomdle service and authorized Jconnect to it.)

Therefore I successfully installed Joomdle and Status Checks are all Green( Using cURL).

In Next Step, I tested user registration. I tried to create an account named "hvsharma" from Joomla Frontend. It was Successful. I activated "hvsharma" by e-mail activation link.

Now I tried to access "hvsharma" directly from Moodle login page and it was Successful.
Then I tried to login in Joomla Front-end and Voilla..! It was Working...! I successfully logged in.
(Till now, I haven't created any Pages or Articles or Courses. So I was on my home page which is Blank.)

Then I logged Out.
Now I wanted that No one can access my Moodle URL. So as explained in ur Tutorial "Installing Joomdle in Moodle2.0, I provide the joomla front page login url ( http://www.mysite.com/ k) in the Alternate login Url in moodle authentication options and try to Login from my Joomla Frontpage.

Again I was Successful.

Now I Started Experimentation......... And Eventually faced several Problems -:

(i) Problem 1 -:

As soon as I enabled "Search Engine Friendly URLs" under SEO Settings, I am getting the following error -:

404 - Component not found

You may not be able to visit this page because of:

an out-of-date bookmark/favourite
a search engine that has an out-of-date listing for this site
a mistyped address
you have no access to this page
The requested resource was not found.
An error has occurred while processing your request.

Please try one of the following pages:
Home Page

If I click on Home Page Here, I am redirected on my Home Page and I am logged in.

I know that to remove this error, I have to disable SEO. But as a developer, I need to Know why this problem is arising ?

(ii) Problem 2 -:

In Default working Configuration, When I enable "Force SSL = Entire Site" in Global Configuration, The System_Health_Check
of Joomdle displays following error in Joomdle Web Services -:
Joomla URL seems to be misconfigured in Joomdle auth plugin in Moodle.

I tried everything-: Setting Joomla URL as " https://www.mysite.com/ k" in Joomdle Config(In moodle Backend), setting Moodle URL as " https://www.mysite.com/moodle k" in Joomdle Config(In Joomla Backend). And Even Both Simultaneously. But nothing happens. I really want to enable SSL on my website. I have already made the SSL certificate using "makecert".
I have also set the certificate key in moodle by manually adding this line in file
c:\xampp\htdocs\moodle\config.php -:
$CFG->opensslcnf ='C:\xampp\apache\bin\openssl.cnf';
(This was described in -: http://moodle.org/mod/forum/discuss.php?d=110343 k)

But Nothing is working.......!!!! Please Help.

(ii) Problem 3 -:

In Default working Configuration, I tried to install some of the packages provided in "Other Joomla Packages" directory of "joomdle-0.6-for-joomla16-alpha8".

The installation of Following Failed -:
a) plug_joomdlehookscommuntybuilder
(Error is "JInstaller: :Install: Cannot find Joomla XML setup file")

b) aec_mi_joomdle
(Error is "JInstaller: :Install: Cannot find XML setup file")

c) plug_joomdle_cbmycourses
(Error is "JInstaller: :Install: Cannot find Joomla XML setup file")

The installation of "plg_community_joomdlejsbar.zip", "plg_community_mycourses.zip" and "plg_community_teachercourses.zip" was Successful.

I really want to integrate Community Builder in My configuration. But I can't. I tried downloading and installing them again, but the errors are the same.

Please Help me With These... I have been trying to set things up from 15 continuous days. Now only these 3 problems remain. After that, It will be Over....! Thanks in Advance. Waiting for your Reply.

Hi.

1) SEF problems: I have been testing latest release with SEF enabled and it has been working good. Also, no other users report this problem, so it might be specific to your configuration.
Are you using any SEF extension?

2) This has not been tested, and I am pretty sure it won't work (it doesn't for you). I will try to look into it for next release.

3) CB plugins are to be installed using CB plugin installer, not Joomla's

3) Thanks for that...!

I will surely Trouble you again if I have any problem....! :)

2) no, there is no way to have SSL enabled for all site, and have Joomdle working.
This would require Joomdle modifications .

As for CB or Jomsocial: that is your choice, it all depends on your needs.
