404 error when redirecting to joomla login

Hi guys,

I turned on the alternative login as I want people to be forced to use the Joomla! login.

Two issues here, firstly it opens the whole site in the frame (ugly) rather than just redirecting them to the joomla login page and returning them to the moodle area they were requesting which is what I had anticipated happening.

Secondly, if a user logs in using the framed login page they are redirected to this URL: www.mywebsite.org/courses/auth/joomdle/index.php which gives a 404 error. Note that my moodle installation is in /courses.

Obviously the second means I can't use this as a solution at all - any ideas where to start troubleshooting this? All I want them to do is be FORCED to go to the Joomla! default login page whenever they click a link that says login. Alternatively having a lightbox or something pop up with a username/password box would be far prettier, if it was possible, linking to the Joomla! login of course.

I think I have not tested setting an alternate login page without setting also "require users to login" or whatever that is called. If you enable that, users only get to Moodle after authenticating, so the described wrapper issue would not happen.
I take note of the issue to test when I have the time.

The second issue I think is related to the first one, although I am not sure. You will need to test.

Do you mean that I need to turn off allowing guests to browse to Moodle? I did this as part of the configuration I followed on the Wiki, I guess it might make sense. Will have a look later.
