XML-RPC Error (7021) #1
I am recieving the XML-RPC Error (7021) error. I have searched the forums and noticed a handful of people have had the same issue, unfortunately none of their fixes works for me.

I have Moodle 19.x , Joomla 1.73, and Joomdle .7

I did add my Local IP to moodle and that did not help (though moodle did detect it as trusted).

In the system check Joomdle Web Services responds with "Received empty response from Moodle"

I have also triple (and quadruple, etc) checked my moodle address is indeed correct.

The error only occurs when I put in the exact correct address in the Joomla for the "Moodle URL" if I put any other address in the error goes away, but of course I am unable to use Joomdle correctly.

I am using shared hosting (hostgator). Help is appreciated!

Add 0.0.0.0/0
Then check, it should work.
Then, find the right IP.

That worked... sort of

I now get this error in the same spot for the system check: "Source IP not allowed: xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx" the ip listed is close to my site ip but not quite. I removed my site IP from the moodle side to see if it would help but the error is still there.

I am not quite sure what you mean by "so close" to your IP. Since you are on hostgator, you can log into the cpanel and it will list the servers IP address down the bottom left - do not confuse it with the first IP address which the last login (that is yours). I think you will find if you go back to your signup email from hostgator there will be a different IP address. Try both of these but the one in Cpanel should be correct.

I just did a hostgator install but with Joomdle R0.82 and Moodle 2.3 and it went through without a problem. Of course we didn't need to specify the IP address anymore as Moodle 2+ is done differently.

The other thing you can look at doing, if you have not already done is to enter the IP address in the Joomdle configuration planel "IP Internal Address". This should be required only if the server's IP is not public which could be the case for you.
