import surname to skip moodle update profile form

Hi

Whenever a new joomla user wants to enter moodle for the first time, a form appears to update user's information in moodle database. The only required field that is not filled automatically by joomdle is surname. Since showing this form is distracting for students, is there any way to import the surname which can be taken in joomla during registration and skip the form? or do you have any idea on how we can set surname in moodle not to be required? or it would be much better if you know any way that we can disable this form at all. (I asked these questions in moodle forum but got no answers yet)

Moodle requires a surname in profile, and as far as I know that cannot be disabled. It also requires city and country.

If in Joomla you use some extension to request that info, like Jomsocial or Community Builder, you can then have it mapped to Moodle, so profile info is filled there, and moolde's profile screen does not appear.
