Enroll to specific topic in course

Dear friends,

I need advice on how to implement the idea.
I want all users to be able to enter my courses and view the main page, if they want to see content, like video, they will have to pay specific for viewing the video or enroll the entire course.

I want to do this without changing the core files of Moodle, in order not to create a mess in Joomdle. So I thought of an 3rd Party Integration with which users can purchase a specific video, like Kaltura.

Can I use Joomla plug-in for it and make it appear inside Moodle course?

The easiest way to do this, IMO, is to make the main page a Joomla page - like a marketing page. Then to go to the full course they must click through and purchase. This will eliminate the need to have any plugins, 3rd party apps, etc.

It does require you create a main page in Joomla however, personally this is desirable anyway from a marketing perspective ie you are trying to sell the course so you will want to have sales related content to not just the main page.

Chris, this is a great idea and I'm going to do it, though it does not answer my question.
I want to sell not only the course as a whole but also one specific video, so if users want to study only one subject of the course they will be able to buy a specific video, so I think must use the pay-per-view plugin, or something similar.

Remember video is nothing special, just another content type. So it really comes down to how you prepare your "course". If you want you can use a plugin or entire video application to sell access to videos. This can be done in Moodle or in Joomla. Alternatively, you can treat the video as part of the course content. In this case I see that you have two different "courses". One course with the video in it as part of the course (just a html page with video perhaps). The second course just shows the video.

It is really just course design that you need to worry about IMO.
