I've searched and didn't find an answer on this one. Forgive me if I'm brain-dead after fighting through the upgrade process for Joomla and Moodle.

I've just upgraded a (working) site from:
Joomla 1.5.23 to 2.5.8
Moodle 2.0.2 to 2.3.3
Joomdle 0.6 to 0.9

Here's the important information. When we originally set up the site, we were having some problems with user creation and logging in to both sites. I forget what it was. I know the solution was to set up moodle so that it would only allow us to login through Joomla. I remember at the time that this was flagged as dangerous. I've looked and looked for that article to try and remember WHAT I did...but I can't remember or find it. It was in the Joomdle documentation, if I recall correctly.

So, before I upgraded Moodle, I logged in via Joomdle auth. I got through the upgrades (2.2 and then 2.3) before I stupidly logged out. I had NOT installed Joomdle yet. I have installed Joomdle now...but of course, I haven't been to the Notifications page because I'm logged out.

I did enter the old settings into the Joomla side of the Joomdle configuration. Of course when I run the system test it says there is a problem with the web services. (Duh -- I haven't run them yet because I can't get back into Moodle.)

So my question is -- do you remember what I did to make it so I couldn't log in? Or do you know the steps I need to do to get back into Moodle at this point?

I knew it was a risk...I'd even watched for it. But I was brain-dead and hit the wrong button.

Argh. Help!

Ah. Well, I found what I'd done -- I set an alternate login URL. I've now removed it from the database (mdl_config if anyone else comes wandering here for help).

Sadly, the site no longer recognizes the admin password, though.

So...on to figuring out my next challenge.

password salting issue. I'd not understood and set the salting variable for the old salt password to the new salt password. (rolling eyes)

It works! So...now to go to Moodle 2.4 and re-install Joomdle and get this site back to making money! Thanks for a wonderful component!
