Joomla 2.5.8 and Moodle 2.4+ was created by Heiko
Hi!
I installed Joomla 2.5.8 and Moodle 2.4+ with Joomfle 0.9. After configuration Joomla and Moodle the health check says Joomdle Web Services not working, all other positions are green.
Result of System health check:
1.6 Joomdle Web Services
1.6.1 It seems the Joomdle auth plugin is not enabled in Moodle
You must enable the Joomdle auth plugin in Moodle Admin->Users->Authentication->Manage Authentication.
Moodle 2.4: Home / ► Site administration / ► Plugins / ► Authentication / ► Manage authentication Joomdle enable
1.6.2 Moodle networking is not enabled
You must enable Moodle Networking in Moodle Admin->Networking->Settings
Moodle 2.4: Where can i find this option?
1.6.3 You need to add your site IP to Moodle XML-RPC trusted hosts list
You must add your site IP to the Moodle trusted XML-RPC hosts list, in Moodle Admin->Networking->XML-RPC Hosts
Moodle 2.4: Where can i find this option?
1.6.4 Something is wrong with Joomdle Web Services setup
Something went wrong setting up Joomdle web services in Moodle. Try visiting Notifications page in Moodle Admin->Notifcations
Moodle 2.4+: no notifications
1.6.5 Moodle Network authentication is not enabled in Moodle
You must enable the Moodle Network auth plugin in Moodle Admin->Users->Authentication->Manage Authentication.
Moodle 2.4: Where can i find this option?
1.6.6 Joomla URL is not configured in Joomdle auth plugin in Moodle
Moodle 2.4: Home / ► Site administration / ► Plugins / ► Authentication / ► Joomdle
Joomla URL www.european-teachers.eu/
1.6.7 Joomla URL seems to be misconfigured in Joomdle auth plugin in Moodle
Re-check your Joomla URL in Joomdle auth plugin configuration, in Joomdle auth plugin in Moodle.
-> www.european-teachers.eu/_moodle/
Make sure you include http://
--> Yes
Check Joomla multi-language configuration and enter appropiate parameters in Moodle side if necessary
en Version only
Check any mod_security rules that may deny XMLRPC traffic
-> no such module
Disable any Joomla security extensions you may have installed
-> no such extension
You may also want to visit: http::/yoursite.com/index.php?option=com_joomdle&task=ws.server&format=xmlrpc
If everything is working fine, you should see something like:
XML-RPC Error (1): Access Denied
My site www.european-teachers.eu/index.php?optio...server&format=xmlrpc
Message: faultString parse error. not well formed. error occurred at line 1, column 1, byte index 0 faultCode -32700
Any idea?
Best wishes,
Heiko
