Hi there,

I am confused by your note. When I go to your site, as guest, as specified I get a full page with course details. See attached image.

Can you explain your problem further, show screen shots, etc. Have you tried clearing your cache?

As for any support ... we have been communicating through PM up until 1 day ago and in fact I have volunteered to log into your backend for both Joomla and Moodle at no cost to you - so again I am a little confused by your comment and not sure what more support I can give you. I have copied a copy of our correspondence below in case you have deleted the messages.

As for you other issue about the emails. This is how the links work - they take the user to Joomla. We can add an option to allow you to specify the URL in the Joomdle configuration. This would be put on the new features list and would take at least a month before we get to it as there are other requests and features that we are working on at the moment. Alternatively, if you would some custom work done, we could discuss this as well.

Hi there,

It's quite difficult to see your Joomla website in the different language. Moodle no problem as there is an English translation. Are you comfortably sharing your Joomla backend admin. as the backend has an English translation file. If you like I can check your joomla and moodle configuration.

Dear Chris,

Here is the moodle admin information:

username: xxxxxxxxxx
password: xxxxxxxxxx

Here is the joomla admin:

username: xxxxxxxxxx
password: xxxxxxxxxx

Please note that I had this joomla website for years and there are over 4000 members on it. now I should transfer them all to moodle database too. It is a big mess because the select all option in joomdle component does not work and I should select each member by clicking on the them manuanly.

Anyway, this is another jooma test account to see how it works:

user: xxxxxxxx
password: xxxxxxx (This is a normal joomla account and it is not admin)

I want joomla users to be able to go directly to my mooodle site and log in. But now, they get an error of username and password do not match when they want to do it in moodle.

Hi there,

I used the test account xxxx to log into Joomdle and it automatically logged me into Moodle correctly. Is your issue that you cannot select all users and syncronise them to Joomdle? If so, we have already fixed that problem and are preparing a fix for this. It will be a few more days - approx 4-7 days before we can make that available while we ensure it does not cause other problems.

Let me know if that is the issue you are having and I will see if we can get a quicker fix for you.

Hello,

I have attached the screenshot of what I see there.
Please take a look.

If you can see the moodle site for the first time, please refresh the page. Again just the header will be shown.

Hi there,

I was able to reproduce the error as you have described. Should I click on login, after that even if I refresh from the hope page again it never disappears.

If I go to your Joomla front page, then proceed to the Moodle domain and refresh then I can reproduce.

I also wanted to see what happened when you attempt a login, so I did that and was presented with this message:

Which suggests that either something has changed since I last logged in a number of days ago or that there is a problem with the scripts that manage the sessions.

I see two potential paths at this point:
  • Given Joomdle, does not affect the templates or interface, this would infer this problem is not related to Joomdle. This would be supported by the face that you are not using a Joomdle wrapper but rather direct to a domain.
  • Users sessions are required between Joomla and Moodle and Joomdle gets involved. So there could be a problem with session management when going directly to Moodle and refreshing.

To be sure you could disable Joomdle in Moodle and see if the problem persists. In the meantime I can see if I can reproduce the error in our test environment but will need to set up a new domains to separate Joomla and Moodle like you have done.

That said, I am not longer able to reproduce it now. No matter how many times I try to log into your Joomla, then moving over to your moodle than re-freshing etc. It always shows up.

Either way I will still get Antonio to confirm if this could be related to Joomdle.

Did a little more research and testing.

The problem exists when you are connected to Moodle as a particular user, say abcdef, you log in and view whichever pages you need. When you log out and then try to load the page again, the page is blank. If you click login and guest, then keep refreshing you will see your content. If you login again, then logout and refresh you will get your blank pages.

After some research on the error message in red, I see:
- That the PHP setting session.auto_start is set to 1 on your server. All of mine (I checked 4) are set to 0.
- Moodle recommends you set the variable to 0. docs.moodle.org/en/PHP_settings_by_Moodle_version

Thus I believe the error is related. You may wish to change your php setting to that recommended by Moodle. Also, I wonder why you have not experienced this before. Has there been changes?

Ok. I successfully configured php.ini and I made session auto_start to 0

That appears to have fixed your problem. Thus as suggested above, the error was a Moodle / PHP settings issue independent of Joomdle. Also, I notice you still have other errors on your site you may wish to resolve - see notifications and you are running an much older version of Moodle 1.9.7.

You support would be appreciated through feedback on the joomla.org extension directory and/or through donations through the www.joomdle.com home page.

Hello again,

I checked the notifications, I did not see any error.

For now, I have faced a big problem.

I use Internet Explorer now.

I go to www.lincolony.com

There is no problem now, the page is shown completely.

I log in with a test user I just created:

Username: test123
password: (the same password that is sent to you)

Now, I expected to get logged in to www.lincolony.com without any problem.
But as soon as I logged in. (It gave me no username password error)
It jumped back to joomdle component in joomla www.ezaban.com

But the strange issue is that it does not load up the jooomla site completely, it just loads the header and logo and refreshes it.
It continiues to refresh the page for unlimited time.
At the time of writing this post it is still refreshing the page (the header).
