Joomdle Web Services was created by Nick
When I do a system check, I keep getting a big red X next to Joomdle Web Services for some reason and I can't figure out why. Either it says "Moodle Network authentication is not enabled in Moodle" or "You need to add your site IP to Moodle XML-RPC trusted hosts list." Both of which are done, at least from my understanding. I can't figured out what's wrong.

I started out using a subdomain, www.moodle.mysite.com , I think that was causing some problems. Would that cause problems? Then I moved the moodle folder into the main site directory and just used www.mysite.com/moodle which made it impossible for me to access Moodle. Then I tried giving it its own domain name and it still gave me those two errors.

It seems to switch between the two whenever I add or remove http://. Should I have the http:// in front of the address?

Both the Moodle Network authentication is activated and I've added my host ip to the trusted host list. When I test them, they come back as trusted. Do you have any ideas as to what my be causing this problem?

Thanks for any help and this amazing component!

As for recent comments, it may be hard (or even impossible) to get some functions running on different domains (mainly single sign out).

Everything else should work. So, first thing is to know which error are you getting from the two errors you say... each one has its own reasons. So, which one are you getting right now?

Yes, you should have http:// in front.

The main issue so far is that I get "XML-RPC Error (7021): The transport method you are trying to use is not permitted." when trying to access Joomdle > Users. There are other issues as well, but they seem to be varying and I'm not sure what issues are causing them. I think this error is the root of many of the problems.

Ok. I thin so too.

I guess you are using a hosted domain, right?. Are you sure you have entered the right IP for it in tusted hosts? You can find out which IP is by doing a ping to your domain.
Also, you could also try entering 127.0.0.1 too, to see if that helps...

I've tried 127.0.0.1, it didn't help. So I checked my host platform and got the IP Address listed there and added it. That didn't help either. So I tried pinging the domain and got a slight different domain and added that. It still didn't help. The address given to me by my host and the one I got from pinging it were only different by the last number, so I replaced it with 0 and then added /24. All the others I had used /32. That's what I currently have in there with no change. When I test the addresses, they always come back as trusted.

That is very srange :(

The Ip you have to put is the one returned by ping, that is the real site IP. I don't know why it is not working ....

Nothing else comes to mind right now.... :( If you want to send me your site details in a private message, I could take a peek.

I added my server's IP which I got via a ping, and this resolved the error with the users. Now I get MNet is disabled if anyone tries to log into the site, the red cross in the joomdle web services, and if they click OK at the mnet disabled message they're dumped into moodle, completely outside of the original site.

Very confusing for the users, very frustrating for me! Any ideas? I followed the workthroughs word for word (literally) so I'm a bit puzzled where I've gone wrong.

I think the issues here are that you need to enable BOTH the joomdle network authentication AND Moodle Network authentication.

Once I enabled the latter, it works like groovy gravy :)

I am having the same problem but I do not under stand what you mean by BOTH joomdle authentication AND Moodle Network authentication enabled. Could you give more detail on where BOTH these are and the steps to enable them.

Hi. You have to enable those in Moodle Admin menu->Users->Manage Authentication.
