Hi.

As Fernando says, that message indicates that Moodle cannot connect to Joomla. This can be a bad URL, but also something else preventing connection.

Are all the other checks green? Specially the "Moodle to Joomla HTTP Connectivity".

Peter: connection is OK, so there must be something in Joomla making it not to work.
Try opening this page to see what you get:
yoursite.com/index.php?option=com_joomdl...server&format=xmlrpc


Will: when I go to: easyexcel.info/xmlrpc/index.php I get a blank page.
I should get an XML error message instead, so the blank page indicates that there is some error (usually you see blank screen when PHP error happens, and you don't have errrors showing)
You should look at your server logs to try to find out what the problem is.

Thanks Antonio. I currently don't have permission to access /index.php on the server as it is protected by the servers security. I can however get this security lowered to run /index.php but will need to ask the guys who look after my server. That won't be a problem, but is there something in particular that you think they should be looking for? It will be best if I can tell them where we think the problem might be, so they can track it down and fix it.

Originally I had to ask them to provide XMLRPC web service connections between my joomla and moodle as the server security system was originally set to prevent this.

I didn't even know you can run Joomla forbidding access to index.php.

This won't work with Joomdle, you need to allow access.
